This index lists articles by 1/3’s of the lake.  The Hwy 154 Bridge is the dividing line between the East 1/3 and the Middle 1/3 section of the lake.  The West Hwy 515 Bridge is the dividing line between the Middle 1/3 and the West 1/3 section of the lake.   So articles are listed in this index to the particular 1/3 in order to help those people looking for articles in a particular area of the lake.  Click on the name of the article in order to open that file.

East 1/3

EAST 1/3 OF THE LAKE

EAST HWY 515 BRIDGE

This article covers the area around the East Hwy 515 Bridge, Green Bank, Hobbs Point, The Orange Dot Hole, Oakpoint Creek, and The 10 Pound Hole.

FLAT BLACK

This article covers the area referred to as “Flat Black” from the Hwy 154 Bridge and island to the area adjacent and east of the SRA Park.  Hurley’s Pond, The Key Hole Pond, Hurley Hump, Bird Island and Tillery’s Cove are covered within.

GLADE BAY

This article covers the area referred to as “Glade Bay”, Middle Field, East Field, West Bank, Glade Creek and Been Bank.

HWY 154 BRIDGE

This article covers the area at the south side of Hwy 154 Bridge and south to the Minnow Bucket, Searcy Branch, Wright Branch, Taylor Branch and Smith Branch- Located on the east side of the east 1/3 of the lake.

LONG BRANCH AND ROGERS CREEK

This article covers the Long Branch, Coon Creek, Opossum Creek, the public boat ramp areas at the East 515 Bridge, Long Branch Point and Rogers Creek – Located on the east 1/3 of the lake.

MID CANEY CREEK

This article covers the area north of Hurleys Hump and south of Long Branch Creek. It covers areas such as Bell Hump, Bell Creek, The Brick House Hole, Underwood Pool, Hurley’s Shoreline, and The Twilight Zone. These locations are on the eastern 1/3 of the lake.

OIL WELL BAY

This article covers the area of Oil Well Bay, Running Creek, Coffee Creek, 4 Bridges, and various stuctures on the far northeaster side of the lake near FM 2225 and FM 2966.

SMITHHART POINT

This article covers the area around Green Bank (aka The Big Hole), Pinscher Cove, Morgan Branches, Quail cove, The Burnt Tree Hole (aka The Old Blue Lake), Cross Roads (aka 4 Corners) and the Jettys.  These locations are on the eastern 1/3 of the lake.

BIG TANK COVE

This article covers the area of Big Tank Cove and the southwest side of the west Dale Creek Island- Located in the lower western portion of the middle 1/3 of the lake.

CHANEY BRANCH, THE BODY OF

This article covers the DV/OW Hole, the north and south banks of Chaney Branch, and Two Pock – Located near the lower eastern part of the middle 1/3 of the lake.

This article covers Horseshoe Ridge aka. Italy’s Sock or Boot Hill, and the coves to the west of it. This is located north of Mustang and that west bank- Located on the far west side of the middle 1/3 of the lake.

INDIAN CREEK
